Upland varieties
Upland varieties are rain fed. Planting is done before the onset of the long rains. Sow seeds in rows at the rate of 50 Kg/ha with a spacing of 25cm for short varieties and 35cm for tall varieties. Alternatively, broadcast at 75Kg/ha.
