Nerica rice
Nerica is the new rice for Africa and is a crossbreed variety for upland areas, ideal for rain fed farming. Grows well in altitudes 0–1700m above sea level with soil pH of 4.5-6.5, rainfall requirements of 800–1200mm and temperatures of 21-37°C.
