Harvesting time
Harvest when leaves turn yellow, husks turn yellow dry and papery, the ear (cob) droops and hard grains have a glossy surface. Harvest when moisture content of the grain has fallen to 17-20%. Early harvesting avoids attack by grain borers and weevils.
